Halloween came to America from Ireland and England. Halloween is believed to be the time for magic. It was believed that spirits walk on earth on the day of Halloween, that is why we dress up in costumes to be like them. Long ago, to protect children from evil spirits, salt was sprinkled on their hair. Halloween costumes were sold in American in 1930s and kids started trick or treating in the 1950s. Stores now make a lot of money during Halloween. There are lots of scary shows and movies during Halloween. I watched a scary show . I really enjoy Halloween specially the trick or treat part.
